OFFERING: SOUND THERAPY - REIKI - PELVIC STEAMS
Sound therapy is energy work — everything is energy and everything is vibrating at different frequencies. When there are blocks or stagnation in the body and mind, there is dissonance and a lack of consistency. Sound therapy helps to attune our bodies and our mind to a more optimal frequency.
Sound therapy often integrates many instruments including Tibetan bowls, crystal singing bowls, gongs, tongue drums, buffalo drums, tuning forks, weighted and non, bells, chimes, shakers and voice and into a personalized unique session for each person.
There are many ways that sound healers facilitate sessions, but generally speaking, there is probably a discussion of what the client needs support with first, Then, the client lays down and relaxes as the practitioner incorporates meditation, breathing and sound to help move the energy towards balance.
Sound therapy works for everyone, “On a physical level, we are slowing down the breath, slowing down our heart rate and allowing our mind to quiet into a safe-feeling, serene state.
As to spiritually, the more relaxed we are in body and mind, the better or more able we are to feel connected to ourselves, connected to others and connected to a higher power if we so choose.”
Sound therapy is effective in not only achieving a state of relaxation but it also has a way of moving through blockages in the body. There are many published articles and research showing sound to help treat such conditions as stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, depression, sleep disorders, pain and autism.
Sound therapy is very effective for nearly everyone. Those who may not receive therapeutic effects are people who suffer from ear sensitivity issues, sound induced epilepsy and some of the wise elders, who have developed fluid in their ears with age.
Sound therapy is an amazing way to release stress, make meditation easier and leads to emotional well-being, alleviation of tension, aches and pains, reduced stress and many other health benefits.
Sound Therapy is also a wonderful way to bring groups together, and enhance health and wellness practices by deepening their restorative effects.
